Default About Stacking and Runes

Well basically, what does stacking and not-stacking mean? Do I recieve a penalty or something if things do stack?
Also, can I put a rune on all of my armor pieces without getting a penalty of some sort? Furthermore, could I (for example) use a Minor and Major rune of vigor and get the advantages from them both? Or use the same rune 5 times (on all pieces of armor) and get the advantage 5x?

Thanks in advance

simple

1 rune per piece of armor

1 rune per type with the greater having the effect

any attempt to add a second rune to a piece of armor overwrites the original rune.

they will not add up

Thanks, much appreciated.
Can anyone explain to me what stacking means? I'm still confused about that. Thanks!

Stacking stuff will stack with other stuff, like a helmet that gives +1 blood magic and a rune of blood magic that gives another +1, they will "stack" to +2

all runes are non stacking. They will not stack with another rune of the same type. two runes that gives +1 blood, or one that gives +1 blood and one that gives +2 blood will not stack, you will end up with the highest of them. The health penalties do stack.

You can stack a non-stacking and a stacking bonus

Knights/Ascalon stacks with absorption, but not with itself

If runes stacked, you would see hundreds of wammos using 4-5 superior absorption runes at once.

I think you would more likely see a couple sup axe runes on a gale axe warrior if runes stacked.

GuildWiki > you

Go try it out for yourself if you like. Go buy four minor absorption runes and throw them onto a cheap set of armor, then come back and tell me that they reduce damage by 4. (Hint: they will most certainly not, and will only reduce damage by 1.)

Runes of any kind have never stacked with each other - well, not the positive benefits anyway. So why anyone thinks that they stack now is beyond me.

The reason they dont say non-stacking is that they do stack with knights/ascalon, which already has a non-stacking tag.
You will notice that as much as absorbtion does not say non-stacking, neither does it say stacking.
